You may need to manually calibrate your ForceFrame when you've replaced a part of the system, such as a sensor, or if otherwise instructed to by our support team. Follow these steps to re-calibrate your ForceFrame.
You will need:
- Your ForceFrame system
- Serial number (FFE-XXXX)
- Windows PC/laptop
- ForceFrame app for Windows
- USB to mini-USB cable (provided)
- Calibration value(s) provided via email by VALD support team
- e.g. X.XXXX
Step 1: Turn on your ForceFrame by pressing the power button. Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to your ForceFrame at the bottom of the head unit. Connect the larger end of the cable to your laptop or PC. |
Step 2: Open the ForceFrame app for Windows on your device and log in. * If you are prompted to update the application on startup, install the update first before continuing. |
Step 3: Check that your ForceFrame is successfully connected via USB. You should see the correct serial number under the 'Device' section e.g. FFE-XXXX * Confirm also that the attachment mode is set to BAR + FRAME. |
Step 4: Navigate to Settings > Device. Switch the 'Show Calibration' toggle ON |
Step 5: Ensure the sensor you wish to calibrate is plugged into correct socket in the ForceFrame head unit: Left Outer or Right Outer. |
Step 6: Enter the value supplied to you by VALD Support (X.XXXX) in in the 'Left Outer' or 'Right Outer' box as applicable – matching the side where the sensor is plugged in. |
Do not enter any values other than those provided in your email from VALD Support. |
| Step 7: Click Calibrate, and then press Confirm on the pop-up which appears. | |
Step 8: Repeats steps 6–7 if necessary for any other sensor. |
Make sure to ONLY calibrate sensor(s) as instructed to by VALD Support. Altering the calibration of other sensors may cause inaccurate readings. |
