This article contains guidance around charging your ForceDecks plates and relevant battery information.
Charging procedure
- Plug the small end of the USB cable into the left side of the ForceDecks plate – the port is labelled USB / Charge.
- Plug the larger end of the USB cable into either:
- A USB port on your computer/laptop, or
- The provided wall charger, and then connect this to a wall socket (mains power).

Important notes:
- Your ForceDecks will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity.
- To protect the battery, charging will be paused after 10 hours of continuous power input. To resume charging, unplug the USB cable and reconnect it.
- While other wall adapters or cables may successfully charge your ForceDecks, we strongly recommend only using the equipment supplied by VALD.
Do not use charging equipment if your USB cable or wall adapter show signs of damage.
Battery status indicators
Your ForceDecks battery will be partially charged when you receive it. The Battery LED indicator displays different colors dependant on the charge level of the plate.
The Battery LED indicator will slowly pulse when the plate is receiving power.
