There are a large number of Drills available with your SmartSpeed system (Plus, Dash, Pro) and accessories (including JumpMat). Depending on your configuration and the number of timing units, and accessories you have, it will determine the types of Drills you can run. Listed below are the different types of Drills, broken down into type, and then Category and Drill available in the SmartSpeed App:
One-way timing (Linear Sprint) – is commonly used to measure speed improvement with straight line sprints. One-way timing can be run with Plus, Dash and Pro models and requires 2+ timing units.
Cut Drills – are used to measure the transition from planned to unplanned change of direction movements. Cut Drills can only be run with the Plus and Pro models and requires 3+ timing units.
Grid Drills – are used to measure multiple reactive movements and changes of direction. Grid Drills can be run with the Plus and Pro models and requires 3+ timing units.
Force velocity profiling (Sprint) – is used to measure an athlete’s force and velocity production. It can be run on both Dash and Pro models and requires 4+ timing units.
