At VALD, we may periodically perform scheduled maintenance to improve the performance, stability and security of our systems.
During a set period when maintenance is carried out, VALD apps and services may be unavailable or have limited functionality.
Stay informed about planned outages
Any upcoming maintenance windows will be communicated via email to VALD clients. Updates are also published on the VALD status portal under Maintenance.
By clicking the Get updates button in the top-right corner, you can subscribe to be notified about upcoming outages. You will also hear from us once maintenance is complete and services are back online.
Learn more via our guide to the VALD status page.
What to expect
During a period of scheduled maintenance:
- VALD systems and services will be temporarily unavailable,
- You may be unable to to log in, access VALD applications and sync your data,
- APIs and integrations will return errors,
- Depending on the nature of the maintenance being carried out, your active session may be disconnected.
When the maintenance is complete:
- Usual service will resume automatically,
- You will be able to log back in and continue normal operations,
- Any queued or offline test data will automatically start to sync.
See below for an overview of the expected impact across the VALD suite of products and services.
Services which rely on VALD APIs for data queries, including VALD AI, will also be unavailable.
Continue testing with offline mode
During a planned maintenance period, you can keep recording tests with VALD systems using offline mode (where available).
This works by allowing you to capture and store data locally on your device, and leave it in the uploads queue to be synced later.
Keep in mind the following limitations:
- Data will not be synced during the outage period
- Real-time features and shared data access will be unavailable
- Some app features may not be supported in offline mode
Please note: Login pages will be unavailable during an outage. Ensure you log in to your VALD app or software prior to the start of the maintenance window.
Refer to the following system-specific articles to find out more about testing in offline mode:

What you need to do
Preparing for a planned maintenance outage can help minimize disruption to your normal activities.
- Inform relevant users and stakeholders ahead of time
- Ensure your VALD applications are updated and log in on all devices before the outage commences
- Familiarize yourself with offline functionality where applicable
- Plan alternative approaches in case your usual operations are disrupted
Once the maintenance is finished and you are notified that service is restored, you can log back in to your systems and software. Allow additional time for your offline data to sync and verify that all is working as expected.
If you notice any ongoing issues following on from a period of planned maintenance, please reach out to the VALD support team for assistance.
