Follow the guidance here to conduct a group testing session using your ForceDecks system and the ForceDecks iOS app.
Group testing with ForceDecks is not currently supported on iPhone devices.
Set up the session
- Turn your ForceDecks on by pressing the power button on the left (primary) plate. The LED lights will begin to turn on, then you will hear a beep from the primary plate, followed by the secondary plate.
Ensure your device remains near the plates during the test to maintain a strong Bluetooth connection.
- Open the ForceDecks iOS application and log in with your VALD credentials.
- From the home screen, select Group testing.
- Once the app finishes searching, select your ForceDecks from the device list.
-
Select a test type from the list or choose Auto Detect mode in the top-right.Auto Detect allows the individual to complete a wide variety of tests that can be auto-detected and analyzed. This is useful if you want your clients performing a battery of tests in quick succession – just check in advance that the test types you're looking for are included.
-
Select profiles from the list, or tap the name of a group to add that entire group of profiles to the session queue.
- Use the search to locate specific groups or profiles.
- Hold and drag the icon to reorder profiles in the queue.
- Tap the X or hit Remove all to remove profiles.
Run the group testing session
After you press Start testing, your ForceDecks will begin zeroing – this only needs to be done once at the start of the session. Ensure that nothing is touching the plates as they reset to zero.
- Select a profile in the left side panel to start testing.
- The app will display 'Ready to weigh' for the individual. Have them stand still on the plates or press Skip Weighing to move on.
- Have the individual perform the test following the correct protocol. You may pause the session or finish testing the profile using the buttons in the bottom-right.
- After pressing complete on a profile, you can either:
- Continue the session by selecting another profile* from the queue and proceeding through the testing steps (7–10) again.
- Re-test the same profile. This will create a new test instance for the athlete and not reset or overwrite any other tests for the profile.
- Check the previous test's results. From this view you can edit or delete repetitions to ensure your final data is tidy.
* Note that test data is uploaded iteratively for each athlete. The action of moving to the next profile in your queue finalizes the data and sends it to be uploaded to your organization's VALD Hub.
View results
As you test, each individual's best result (or other 'top' result depending how you've configured it) will be added as a row on the Leaderboard – tap the chart icon to view.
- Once there are no more profiles left to test, press the green Finish Session button. Your session leaderboard will be displayed.
If you need to finish the session with profiles still remaining in the queue, find the grey Finish button in the top-left corner instead.
Some other actions are available to you from this leaderboard screen:
- Check the status of your test data uploads via the Upload Manager.
- Change the metrics displayed for this session by pressing Edit metrics.
- Proceed with your testing by choosing one of the options: Repeat group session, Change test type, or Back to home.
