The HumanTrak system uses an advanced camera and dedicated software to track how the body moves in 3D space. This equipment requires a computer with powerful graphics and processing capability to operate.
To ensure optimal functioning of your HumanTrak system, we recommend the following:
- At least 15 minutes prior to any testing, confirm your HumanTrak system is operating efficiently.
- Confirm your HumanTrak laptop has sufficient charge, or ideally is plugged in to a power supply.
- If required, close applications running in the background that can slow down HumanTrak, including:
- Web browsers (e.g., Google Chrome, Firefox)
- Microsoft OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Note-taking applications, such as Evernote and OneNote
- VPN applications
- If HumanTrak is operating slowly, please restart your computer.
To confirm which applications might be affecting your HumanTrak performance:
- Press Windows key and type in 'Task Manager'.
- Press Enter to open Task Manager.
- Click on the Memory tab.
View applications using the most memory and close any unnecessary ones, such as those listed above. In the image below, Google Chrome and Microsoft Word should be closed.
