When recording a test with ForceDecks iOS, a visual indicator at the bottom of the force trace will identify when the individual is ready to perform a movement. This indicator changes in real time based on the movement detected on the force plates.
This feature is designed to help reduce the number of reps that may be affected by pre-movement instability, which can lead to errors or skewed results.
Does it work for every test?
Currently, stability detection is enabled for the following tests:

What are the different indicators?
Individual is unstable
This 'Remain stable' indicator will appear when the individual is moving around on the plates. Instability can be caused by various factors, such as shuffling of feet, poor balance, excessive swaying, or other unnecessary movements.
Individual is ready to test
Once a sufficient stable period has been detected, the indicator will change to 'Ready to test!' and the individual can proceed with the movement.
Test is in progress
When the individual is in the middle of recording a test, ForceDecks will detect this and change the indicator to 'Movement in progress...'
Can I turn off stability detection?
You can turn off visible stability detection either from Manage > Recording or during a test through the Settings button.
Simply change this toggle to 'No' to disable the stable period indicator.
When this feature is enabled, you can also adjust the advanced settings shown below.
If you adjust these advanced settings during a test and choose to restart the recording, any ongoing results will be lost.
