When recording tests using ForceDecks iOS, there may be instances where you need to change the test type of a recorded rep/test.
Some possible reasons for changing the test type:
- You have conducted a test in Auto Detect mode with a test type that is not automatically detected, resulting in a default test type being assigned to the rep.
- A protocol different to the selected test type was performed by the individual.
- ForceDecks has analyzed the force trace and labelled the rep with a different test type to what you expected.
When performing tests with ForceDecks, always ensure the proper protocol steps are being followed to allow for accurate rep detection and analysis.
Edit a single rep in a test
Example scenario
You have selected and performed a Countermovement Jump (CMJ) and an Isometric Mid-Thigh Pull (IMTP). While the CMJ was auto-detected, the IMTP was not. The IMTP was detected as a default Isometric Test and needs to be updated.
- After recording the test, tap the Finish button in the bottom right.
- Tap the bar of the rep you would like to edit. A menu with edit and delete options will periodically appear.
- Hit the
Edit icon.
-
Using the dropdown, locate the test type you'd like to set the rep to and press Apply. You will see the test type at the top change, and visible metrics/norms will be updated accordingly.
Edit all reps in a test
If you need to edit the test type of all reps at once, look for the Edit icon next to the Test results heading at the top of your screen. If you have recorded two or more reps in the test, you will see an option here to apply changes to 'All repetitions'.
Keep in mind:
Certain test types are not compatible and attempting to change one to the other will result in an error e.g., Single Leg Jump → Countermovement Jump.
Additionally, swapping test types causes the force trace to be reanalyzed and will affect how metrics are calculated. This means that certain changes to test type may succeed but cause incorrect metrics e.g., Squat Assessment → Squat Jump.
