When using the Windows app, you have the option to change the sampling frequency at which ForceDecks tests are recorded. This can also be done on the ForceDecks iOS app.
Why would I want to change the sampling frequency?
Adjusting the sampling frequency allows you to determine the amount of data points collected per unit of time. Selecting a smaller sampling frequency may impact the accuracy of the test data (particularly for more dynamic tests with rapid changes in force) as there are fewer data points collected during the assessment.
If you are struggling with a weak Bluetooth signal between the ForceDecks and your smart device, it may be useful to lower the sampling frequency to help maintain a consistent connection.
Change the sampling frequency
- Navigate to Settings > General.
- Click the Sampling Frequency [Hz] drop-down and select the preferred sampling frequency. Sampling Frequency is defaulted to 1000Hz.
- Click OK to save your changes.
