In this workshop, Gavin will discuss the poor relationship between generic fitness testing and job readiness, and how this is leading to high risk of injury and increased costs to replace injured personnel. He then highlights the importance of focusing on test outcomes (e.g., how someone completes a push up) instead of outputs (e.g., how many push ups they complete). Finally, he describes how VALD systems can be used to assess test outcomes and ensure your personnel are physically suited to their job.
