The bulk upload feature allows you create multiple profiles at once, and it can also make changes to existing VALD Hub profiles in bulk.
Export the profiles
- Log into VALD Hub.
- Go to Profiles in the side navigation bar.
- Select the profiles you would like to edit - either individually or by selecting all profiles at once.
- Click
to download a .csv file to your computer.
- Open the exported .csv in Microsoft Excel and edit the profile information as necessary.
Note: Do not edit the vald-id column.
To avoid an error on upload, ensure that the date-of-birth column is formatted as YYYY-MM-DD.
- Save the .csv file.
Upload the edited profiles
- Within the Profiles tab of VALD Hub, click
in the top-right.
For the Bulk Upload button to appear, all profiles must be deselected. - Drag and drop your file into the box, or click Choose file.
- Click Continue.
- Review the list of Profiles to ensure they are correct. Any invalid profiles can be fixed in your .csv file, then reuploaded.
- Click the
button.
- Click Yes, import now.
This process will match the new profile information against an existing profile based on the vald-id field in the CSV file. Any changes made to your profiles will now be reflected in VALD Hub.
This method of bulk editing profiles can add a profile to a Group, but cannot remove it from one. To remove a profile from a Group, head to Actions > Assign Groups on a specific profile, or modify Group membership in Management > Groups.
