If a specific movement you wish to test is not available in the HumanTrak Test Library, you can create a custom test. To get started, look for the button in your Test Library, accessible via the left-hand menu.
Complete custom test details
- Name your custom test.
- Enter specifications for the test type:
- Direction to camera – Front on, side on, or facing away
- Test type – One or two snapshots
- Test protocol – Text instructions that can be viewed during the session
- Add one to two metrics you wish to record and measure. For each metric, add:
- Metric name
- Body part – Selected from the dropdown, can be left as None
- Unit of measurement – Degrees, centimeters or None for a completely custom input
A preview of your custom test reporting will be shown as you edit the test's fields.
- Click
when finished.
The custom test will now be available in your Test Library under the Custom Tests category.
Once your custom test is saved, only the test name, direction to camera, test protocol, and metric name fields can be edited. The test type and other metric details cannot be changed.
Run a custom test with HumanTrak
- From the Home screen, Test Library or Profiles tab, start a session as normal.
Select your profile and your custom test. - Have the individual perform the movement as per protocol.
During the session, the settings you configured when creating the custom test affect the testing interface, e.g. if 'Facing away' is selected for Direction to camera, the instruction will display as
- Click Capture Snapshot to capture an image when the desired position is reached.
- Record any measurements or angles as you would with a manual test.
- Enter resultant metric(s) in the fields on the Custom Results pop-up.
- Click Set Results to save and conduct more reps if needed.
Once you have completed the full session, clicking Finish Session will bring up the usual summary screen; this should match what was displayed in your preview.
