Grip Squeeze
Neutral - Seated Compression

Patient position Seated at the edge of the bed with feet touching the floor. The testing arm in 90 degrees of elbow flexion, their forearm in a neutral position, and their other arm relaxed at their side.
Contact point Held in patient's hand.
Device orientation Vertical, in the grip strength assessment configuration.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 – push, push, push and relax.

Grip Squeeze
90° Elbow Flexion - Seated Compression

Patient position Seated at the edge of the bed with feet touching the floor. The testing arm in 90 degrees of elbow flexion, their forearm in a neutral position, and their other arm relaxed at their side.

90° Shoulder Flexion - Seated Compression

Patient position Seated at the edge of the bed with feet touching the floor. The testing arm in 90 degrees of elbow flexion, their forearm in a neutral position, and their other arm relaxed at their side.

Device orientation Vertical, in the grip strength assessment configuration.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 – push, push, push and relax.

Hand Grip Squeeze
Overhead

Patient position Standing with arm being tested at 180 degrees of flexion with the forearm neutral and the contralateral arm relaxed at the patient's side.
Contact point Held in patient's hand.
Device orientation Vertical so that it fits within the palm.
Position of examiner Adjacent to the patient, in a position to situate the DynaMo and instruct the action.
Instruction Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 - push, push, push and relax.

Pinch Grip
Seated Compression

Patient position Seated, arm resting on a flat surface and wrist in a neutral position.
Contact point Held in patient's hand, with thumb on flat surface and four fingers on the pad.
Device orientation Vertical, with practitioner supporting the device.
Position of examiner In a position to support the device so that the patient can apply maximal pinch force.
Instruction Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 – push, push, push and relax.

First Finger Pinch
Seated Compression

Patient position Seated, arm resting on a flat surface and wrist in a neutral position.
Contact point Held in patient's hand, with thumb on flat surface and first finger on the pad.
Device orientation Vertical, with practitioner supporting the device.
Position of examiner In a position to support the device so that the patient can apply maximal pinch force.
Instruction Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 – push, push, push and relax.

Second Finger Pinch
Seated Compression

Patient position Seated, arm resting on a flat surface and wrist in a neutral position.
Contact point Held in patient's hand, with thumb on the flat surface and second finger on the pad.
Device orientation Vertical, with practitioner supporting the device.
Position of examiner In a position to support the device so that the patient can apply maximal pinch force.
Instruction Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 – push, push, push and relax.

Third Finger Pinch
Seated Compression

Patient position Seated, arm resting on a flat surface and wrist in a neutral position.
Contact point Held in patient's hand, with thumb on the flat surface and third finger on the pad.
Device orientation Vertical, with practitioner supporting the device.
Position of examiner In a position to support the device so that the patient can apply maximal pinch force.

Fourth Finger Pinch
Seated Compression

Three Point Pinch
Seated Compression

Patient position Seated, arm resting on a flat surface and wrist in a neutral position.

Position of examiner In a position to support the device so that the patient can apply maximal pinch force.

Hand Thumb Push
Standing

Patient position Standing with arm resting on a flat surface and wrist in a neutral position.
Contact point Thumb on flat pad with practitioner supporting the device.
Device orientation Vertical, with practitioner supporting the device.
Position of examiner In a position to support the device so that the patient can apply maximal force.
Instruction Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 - push, push, push and relax.
