Trunk Flexion
Seated Compression
| Patient position | Seated with arms rested across their chest. |
| Contact point | At the midpoint of the manubrium. |
| Device orientation | Vertical, with the examiner supporting the flat surface and the pad in contact with the patient. |
| Position of examiner | Bending over the patient and supporting the device with both hands. |
| Instruction | Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 - push, push, push and relax. |
Trunk Flexion
Supine Compression
| Patient position | Supine, with arms rested across their chest. |

Trunk Extension
Prone Compression
| Patient position | Prone on a flat surface. |
| Contact point | Interscapular region. |
| Device orientation | Vertical, with the flat surface supported by the practitioner and the curved pad in contact with the patient. |
| Position of examiner | Adjacent to the patient, in a position to situate the DynaMo and instruct the action. |
| Instruction | Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 - push, push, push and relax. |
Trunk Lateral Flexion (Left)
Supine Compression
| Patient position | Hook lying, their arms crossed and hands placed on the opposite shoulder. |
| Contact point | On the lateral aspect of the rib cage, just inferior to the shoulder along the mid-axillary line. |
| Device orientation | Horizontal, with the examiner supporting the flat surface and the pad in contact with the patient. |
| Position of examiner | Seated beside the patient, using one hand to hold the DynaMo Lite, applying lateral pressure and stabilizing the patient with the other hand. |
| Instruction | Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 – push, push, push and relax. |
Trunk Lateral Flexion (Right)
Supine Compression
| Patient position | Hook lying, their arms crossed and hands placed on the opposite shoulder. |
| Contact point | On the lateral aspect of the rib cage, just inferior to the shoulder along the mid-axillary line. |
| Device orientation | Horizontal, with the examiner supporting the flat surface and the pad in contact with the patient. |

Trunk Rotation (L/ R)
Seated

| Contact point | End of the dowel corresponding to the side/direction being tested. |
| Device orientation | Horizontal, attached to a fixed object at one end and the dowel at the other. |
| Position of examiner | Adjacent to the patient, in a position to situate the DynaMo and instruct the action. |
| Instruction | Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 - push, push, push and relax. |
Trunk Rotation (L/ R)
Standing
| Patient position | Patient standing in a neutral position with arms extended and elbows flexed, securing a dowel against the patient's mid back. |
| Contact point | End of the dowel corresponding to the side/direction being tested. |
| Device orientation | Horizontal, attached to a fixed object at one end and the dowel at the other. |
| Position of examiner | Standing adjacent to the table with two hands supporting the DynaMo and resisting upward force. |
| Instruction | Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3, 2, 1 - push, push, push and relax. |
