DynaMo Lite Test Protocols – Neck ROM

Neck Flexion
Seated Range of Motion

Patient position Seated on a chair.
Contact point Fixed to the patient's forehead.
Device orientation Vertical, in the centre of their head.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Flex your neck as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Lite as still as possible.

Neck Extension
Seated Range of Motion

Patient position Seated on a chair.
Contact point Fixed to the patient's forehead.
Device orientation Vertical, in the centre of their head.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Move your head towards your back, keeping the DynaMo Lite as still as possible.

Neck Lateral Flexion (Left)
Seated Range of Motion

Patient position Seated on a chair.
Contact point Fixed to the patient's forehead.
Device orientation Vertical, in the centre of their head.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Tilt your head, moving your left ear towards your left shoulder, trying not to rotate your head.

Neck Lateral Flexion (Right)
Seated Range of Motion

Patient position Seated on a chair.
Contact point Fixed to the patient's forehead.
Device orientation Vertical, in the centre of their head.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Tilt your head, moving your right ear towards your right shoulder, trying not to rotate your head.

Neck Rotation (Left)
Seated Range of Motion

Patient position Seated on a chair.
Contact point Fixed to the patient's forehead.
Device orientation Vertical, in the centre of their head.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Turn your head to the left as far as you can, maintaining the rest of your body still.

Neck Rotation (Right)
Seated Range of Motion

Patient position Seated on a chair.
Contact point Fixed to the patient's forehead.
Device orientation Vertical, in the centre of their head.
Position of examiner Seated next to the patient in a position to orientate the DynaMo Lite, instruct and demonstrate the movement.
Instruction Turn your head to the right as far as you can, maintaining the rest of your body still.
