Range of motion tests measures the peak of motion and asymmetry, and it is important to follow the correct protocol while performing these tests to get accurate results.
DynaMo has two Range of Motion testing modes - Auto-detect and Manual mode. The default setting is Auto-detect mode and Users can adjust their mode settings in the DynaMo app.
Auto-detect Mode
- Download the DynaMo mobile app to your iOS or Android device. Click here.
- Once the DynaMo app has been downloaded onto your mobile device, use your VALD Hub login details to log in to the app. If you do not have your login credentials, please contact your administrator or email us at support@vald.com
- Tap the Create button in the middle of the bottom navigation bar.
- Select Profile then Body Region.
- Select Range of Motion test.
- Watch the test protocol video and read the written instructions.
- Move into position and prepare to test.
- Ensure the patient is still before tapping 'START TESTING'.
- Follow the prompts on the DynaMo app screen - 'remain steady, perform the movement, pause then return to start'.
- At the end of the set, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to view the number of repetitions and results.
- If testing both sides, tap 'NEXT' to move to the other side.
- When the test is complete, tap 'FINISH'.
- A Test Summary screen immediately displays the test results.
Manual Mode
- Tap 'SETTINGS' then select ROM settings.
- Toggle the button at the top to manual mode.
- Return to the home screen.
- Tap the Create button in the middle of the bottom navigation bar.
- Select Profile then Body Region.
- Select Range of Motion test.
- Watch the test protocol video and read the written instructions.
- Move into position and prepare to test.
- Ensure the patient is still before tapping 'START TESTING'.
- Follow the prompts on the DynaMo app screen.
- Tap 'STOP' at the end of the movement.
- Repeat steps 9 - 10 to complete the set of reps.
- At the end of the set, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to view the number of repetitions and results.
- If testing both sides, tap 'NEXT' to move to the other side.
- When the test is complete, tap 'FINISH'.
- A Test Summary screen immediately displays the test results.
