Run an Online Consultation

VALD Hub includes an online consultation function.

When initiating an online consultation in VALD Hub your selected profile will receive an invitation to join the consultation via email.

From this email, your client can click on a link to access the video consultation.

Set up considerations

Your client will have 5 minutes to open the email and click the link, otherwise you will need to initiate another consultation.

We recommend your clients use the following browser for video consultations:

• iOS devices - open in Safari
• Android devices - open Google Chrome
• PC and Mac users - open with Google Chrome

We also recommend your client position their mobile device in a landscape position for the best experience.

To initiate an Online Consultation:

1. Go to Profiles
2. Select a Profile
3. Click Actions
4. Select Online consultation
5. Click Start session
6. Your client will receive an email with a link to the video consultation

Note: If prompted, please allow access to your computer camera and microphone when opening the consultation screen.

Your client will have 5 minutes to open the email and click the link, otherwise you will need to initiate another consultation.

If required, while waiting for your client to join the video consultation, you can email them by clicking on their email address.

Control an Online Consultation

Once you have initiated an Online Consultation you can use the following options and features as required:

• Expand display window
• Mute and unmute audio
• Turn camera on and off
• Screen share
• Add notes
