Seated Compression
Patient Position | Seated on the edge of the bed with feet not touching the floor, hands rested on their thighs and hips and knees each at 90 degrees flexion. |
Contact Point | Dorsal surface of the great toe. |
Device Orientation | Vertical, with the palm pad supported by the assessor and the curved pad in contact with the patient. |
Position of Examiner | Kneeling in front of the patient, supporting the patient's ankle with one hand and the DynaMo with the other, resisting upward force |
Instruction | Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3,2,1 - push, push, push and relax. |

Patient Position | Long sitting with their lower leg extending past the table, allowing the ankle to be unsupported. |
Contact Point | Posterior aspect of the forearm, just proximal to the wrist. |
Device Orientation | Vertical, with the palm pad supported by the assessor and the curved pad in contact with the patient. |
Position of Examiner | Sitting beside the patient, holding the DynaMo with one hand, applying upward pressure and supporting the patient to ensure they remain stable with the other hand. |
Instruction | Push against the pad as hard as you can. 3,2,1 - push, push, push and relax. |
