Elbow Flexion
Seated Range of Motion
Patient position | Seated at the edge of the bed so that their arm being assessed remains at their side with their elbow extended and forearm supinated. |
Contact point | Fixed superior to the wrist. |
Device orientation | Horizontal, consistent with the position of the patient's hand. |
Position of examiner | Seated adjacent to or in front of the patient, in a position to instruct and demonstrate the movement. |
Instruction | Move your hand towards your shoulder as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Lite as still as possible. |

Supine Range of Motion
Patient position | Supine, with the arm being tested fully extended and at the patient's side, with their forearm supinated. |
Contact point | Fixed superior to the wrist. |
Device orientation | Horizontal, consistent with the position of the patient's hand. |
Position of examiner | Seated at the side of the bed, in position to instruct and demonstrate the movement. |
Instruction | Move your hand towards your shoulder as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Lite as still as possible. |
Elbow Extension

Patient position | Seated at the edge of the bed with their arm being assessed at their side, elbow flexed to 90 degrees and forearm in neutral. |
Contact point | Fixed superior to the wrist. |
Device orientation | Horizontal, consistent with the position of the patient's forearm. |
Position of examiner | Seated adjacent to or in front of the patient, in a position to instruct and demonstrate the movement. |
Instruction | Move your hand away from your body as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Lite as still as possible. |

Patient position | Supine, with the arm at the patient's side, their elbow bent to 90 degrees and their forearm supinated. |
Contact point | Fixed superior to the wrist. |
Device orientation | Horizontal, consistent with the position of the patient's arm. |
Position of examiner | Seated at the side of the bed, in position to instruct and demonstrate the movement. |
Instruction | Move your hand away from your body as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Lite as still as possible. |
