Sitting - 90° Elbow Flexion Range of Motion
Patient position | Sitting off the edge of the table with their arm being assessed at their side, elbow flexed to 90 degrees and forearm in neutral. |
Contact point | Held in patient's hand. |
Device orientation | Vertical, consistent with the position of the patient's forearm. |
Position of examiner | Seated adjacent to or in front of the patient, in a position to instruct and demonstrate the movement. |
Instruction | Move your hand away from your body as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Plus as still as possible. |

Supine Range of Motion
Patient position | Supine, with the arm at the patient's side, their elbow bent to 90 degrees and their forearm supinated. |
Contact point | Midway along the lateral aspect of the forearm. |
Device orientation | Horizontal, consistent with the position of the patient's arm. |
Position of examiner | Seated at the side of the bed, in a position to instruct and demonstrate the movement. |
Instruction | Move your hand away from your body as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Plus as still as possible. |

Sitting - Elbow Extended Range of Motion
Patient position | Sitting off the edge of the table so that their arm being assessed remains at their side with their elbow extended and forearm supinated, allowing the hand to hang down without contacting the table. |
Contact point | Held in patient's hand. |
Device orientation | Horizontal, consistent with the position of the patient's hand. |
Position of examiner | Seated adjacent to or in front of the patient, in a position to instruct and demonstrate the movement. |
Instruction | Move your hand towards your shoulder as far as you can, keeping the DynaMo Plus as still as possible. |
