Note: We recommend planning for at least 30 minutes to perform this update.
- Turn the ForceFrame on.
-
Ensure that the ForceFrame is:
- Not low on battery; and
- Not plugged into a computer (it can be plugged into the wall).
-
Ensure that you are running the latest version of the ForceFrame iOS app.
- The latest version of the ForceFrame iOS app can be found here: https://support.vald.com/hc/en-au/articles/7962182233369-ForceFrame.
- Open the ForceFrame iOS app to the Main Menu.
- From the Main Menu in the ForceFrame app, click on Settings and then Firmware Updates.
- The app will scan for and locate any ForceFrames in the area that are powered on and not connected to another device. It will categorize them into Update available and Up-to-date categories based on their current firmware version.
- Click on a ForceFrame in the Update available list.
- Click on the Start Update button.
- Leave the iOS device and ForceFrame powered on until the update process has finished. Leave the iOS device next to the ForceFrame. Do not minimize or close the ForceFrame app.
- When the process is complete click Finish.
- If the firmware update is not successful, restart the ForceFrame and the ForceFrame iOS app and try again.
